Sick of watching the same old Sports?………….

Well you’re In for a treat on the 23rd & 24th September, as Barry Hearn’s Matchroom Sport have announced two days of never before seen sporting action across one weekend, Live on Sky Sports. The British Fast 5 All – Stars (Netball) and The British Basketball All – Stars are in London, bringing with them a brand new format of Netball (Saturday) and Basketball (Sunday) and we’re extremely excited to be The Official Advertising Agency for the event.

Fast5 Netball

The world’s most exciting form of netball is coming to The O2, London and the top eight teams from The Vitality Netball Super League will compete in a brand new, exhilarating format. Fast5 sees smaller teams, shortened match times, multi-point shots, unlimited roll on/roll-off subs and an exciting double point power play that cannot fail to entertain the thousands in attendance and those watching from around the world.

Across a five hour programme, all eight teams will compete in a double elimination round. Two wins takes you straight to the semi-finals, while two losses takes you straight home. Those that win one and lose one will play a further one off eliminator in order to reach the last four and compete for the biggest prize in British Netballing history.

British Basketball All-Stars Championship

In a very similar format to Netball Fast5 the day before, The British Basketball All-Star Championship will showcase the best of British Basketballing talent, in a much more fast paced and ferocious environment than we are used to. Smaller teams, shorter games and an array of ways to amass points will see unrivalled Basketball action on these shores.

Matchroom Sport Chairman Barry Hearn said: “The popularity of basketball and netball is at an all-time high right now. We want to bring this right to the fore with a massive weekend at The O2. We’re bringing fast-paced and exciting formats to generate non-stop action and two unmissable events. It’s also about encouraging participation. Both sports are continuing to grow at a rapid rate and for that to continue we must encourage people young and old to get out there and try these exciting sports. We want to help with this by bringing both basketball and netball centre-stage for one huge weekend in London.”
