September came crashing through the doors with the most eagerly anticipated Old Firm Derby in years, as Rangers made the short journey across Glasgow to Celtic Park for the lunch time kick off at the beginning of the month. August as always sees the Football season start in earnest and with the Rugby League season remaining in full swing, it was always going to be an action-packed month. The BT Sport cameras were in town as National League newcomers Salford City opened the season with a tricky game against fellow promotion hopefuls Leyton Orient and we were on hand to get the Peninsula Stadium looking its best with the help of a raft of new Vanarama branding. July – A Scottish Love Affair
July was almost perfect wasn’t it?…………………Temperatures were still soaring, as were The Three Lions up until the World Cup Semi Final. The script was perfectly written, the only problem being, Croatia hadn’t read it. Fortunately, in the world of Sports Advertising you can get your head stuck into other aspects of work and Sport and get straight back on the ‘horse.’ Unfortunately, our ‘horse’ was heading North to Scotland less than 24 hours later, to see Rangers play Europa League opponents FK Skhupi. It’s always a great pleasure to be invited up to Ibrox to see 32 Red sponsored Rangers in action, but on this occasion, although The Gers were as welcoming as ever, sympathy was in short supply. Thankfully however, Rangers began the Gerrard Revolution with a victory and our love for football was already undergoing some timely healing…………………
June – It’s Coming Home
After what felt like an eternity, we were finally able to talk of the Kit Sponsorship deal we brokered between online casino giants 32Red and the World-renowned Preston North End. To see the kit with the new brand name emblazoned on after such a long wait was a great moment after the months of hard work that had gone into the deal and as ever, both 32Red & PNE were a pleasure to do business with. Here’s hoping for a great partnership and a fantastic season for the Lilywhites……………
MAY – the force be with you
The highlight of May and always one of the high points of the year was our trip to Wembley for the Vanarama National League Promotion Final, between Boreham Wood and Tranmere Rovers. As the Official Agency of The National League for the last eleven years, part of our remit is to brand Wembley for The Vanarama Big Day Out. The Sports 360 team ventured down separately in the hours before the game but by 8am on matchday, we were hard at work getting the stadium branded and ready for when the BT Sport cameras started rolling………………..
